Dozens of recorded conversations, witness statements and videos are the basis of the heavy indictment, which those arrested face for the murderous attack against the MAT, in the area of Rentis.

In the conversations, recorded by the Police bug, after the murderous attack in the area of Rentis, some of the accused are heard to be worried about the findings of the authorities.

The arrest of the 18-year-old who allegedly threw the naval flare

The 3 protected witnesses
At the same time, the statements of 3 fans, who joined the witness protection regime and their statements are anonymous, are considered particularly important by the authorities. All three have identified the persons who make up the leading group of the criminal organization.
Specifically, the first protected witness, among other things, refers to 3 more incidents of fan violence, unrelated to the murderous attack on Giorgos Lyggeridis, while he describes the way the leading members earned money. According to him, they overcharged the tickets and took the difference, sold tickets for the team and took the money, and finally sold protection in the canteens outside the stadium.
The second protected witness, in his anonymous testimony, separates the “small” and the “big”, mentions the method of recruitment, while describing the episode and from the photographs he recognizes 12 people who participated in the murderous attack.
The third protected witness, described in detail the bloody attack, and identified 55 participants in the incidents, but said that because they later covered their faces, he does not know exactly what each of them did.
