The General Price Index of Materials for the Construction of New Residential Buildings, with a base year of 2021=100.0 and a reference month of March 2024, compared to the corresponding index of March 2023, showed an increase of 5.9%, against an increase of 8.9% that occurred in the comparison of the corresponding indicators of the year 2023 with 2022, according to ELSTAT data.
The General Index during the month of March 2024, compared to the index of February 2024, showed an increase of 0.4%, against an increase of 0.5% recorded when comparing the corresponding months of the year 2023.
The average index for the twelve months April 2023 – March 2024, compared to the corresponding index for the twelve months April 2022 – March 2023, showed an increase of 6.6%, compared to an increase of 11.3% recorded when comparing the corresponding previous twelve months.
