New basic version for the Mercedes GLA SUV as well

The GLA is characterized by its sporty and dynamic design, excellent driving behavior and great personalization possibilities. It was the first compact SUV from Mercedes-Benz and, naturally, brought an air of rejuvenation to its segment and established itself as a major player in it.

Today, both the GLA and the A-Class, with which they share a significant number of genes, are two of the most popular and best-selling Mercedes-Benz models in our country. After the A-Class, it’s the turn of the Mercedes GLA to expand its range with the two new entry-level Style versions: The GLA 180 Style & GLA 250e Style are available at preferential prices for purchase or long-term lease.

As in the Style versions for the A180 & A250e, for the GLA Style the differences in relation to the rich equipment of the larger models are small and in no way affect the main features of comfort and safety. The new basic equipment version, depending on the mechanical set of the model, is available with 17-inch wheels and 8 color options.

The GLA180 Style is available with, among other things, a 7-speed automatic transmission, a reversing camera, a leather steering wheel, the DYNAMIC SELECT driving mode system, the well-known Mercedes-Benz advanced assistance systems such as Speed ​​Limit Assist, active lane keeping assistance and Active Brake Assist, LED headlights, navigation system with Navi hard drive and 10.25” multimedia screen.

The GLA180 Style version features the well-known 1,332 cc four-cylinder petrol engine. -the same one found in the GLA 200 version- with a maximum power of 136 hp (100 kW). Like its entire range of petrol engines, it features a mild hybrid system with 48 Volt technology and an integrated starter-dynamo that supports quick starting with 14 extra horsepower and reduced fuel consumption.

As for the plug-in hybrid GLA250e Style version, apart from modifications to the basic equipment of the vehicle, there have been no changes in the power of the electric motor and consequently in the maximum electric range of 66 kilometers it offers. Three options remain available for charging: in addition to the basic one with 3.7 kW, the battery can also be charged with alternating current and up to 11 kW or with direct current up to 22 kW.

Charging from 10% to 80% with direct current takes about 25 minutes, ensuring a flexible and practical charging process for everyday life. Starting prices for the new base version per case have been set at €44,500 for the GLA180 Style and €53,800 for the GLA250e Style (which has a Retail Price Before Taxes of €40,924 – a very useful item for those interested in corporate use).
