Up close, another island of the Argosaronicos, Hydra, which you wouldn’t call an island destination among the top of the country, but its proximity to the port of Piraeus makes it an easy destination, because once you get on a ship, you feel it that you have traveled, not like with the road route, you don’t have to think about whether to take a cab or whether to enter the living room to have the comfort of lying down if you get sleepy and you arrive rested. You’ll be there in 2.5 hours.
Hydra is in fact the place with the highest occupancy, reaching 97%, with the cost being close to 1,050 euros for a 60 sq.m. residence. and 3 nights. In other words, while Mykonos and Santorini have more cheap options, their occupancy is 79% and 65% respectively, while in Hydra it is close to 100%. Even more strange when we consider that we are talking about an island where we have continuous abuse of equines.
Which is the No. 1 island outside of Argosaronicos
In the Argosaronic region, Aegina and Agistri are at normal price levels, since short-term rental accommodation with a size of 40-50 sq.m. they do not require more than 300 euros for 3 nights. Here the pre-bookings are at 82% and 72% respectively.
After Hydra and Spetses, the islands that have a high percentage of coverage in the short-term rental properties available for the Easter period on the Airbnb platform are, as expected, Corfu with coverage close to 90%, with the average price in the center of to be between 750-830 euros and Tinos with a pre-booking rate of 85% with prices somewhere between 300 and 350 euros for 3 nights.
Syros, Ermoupolisfollows with 82% in pre-reservations, where the prices are considerably more expensive, with 650 euros being the floor for houses of 65-70 sq.m.
Among the rest of the islands, Chios stands out, with the corresponding figures being 78% and 220-250 euros for homes of 40-45 sq.m. and finally Patmos, an island-rising force, with reservations at 65% and an average price of 425 euros.
