A man sets off in the middle of the night for the airport to pick up an associate, goes off the rails and his car is left in the middle of nowhere in the Chilean countryside. Walking through the rain, he drips to the only house with lights on. And when they open the door, he finds himself in front of something he doesn’t expect…

Thus begins an involuntary escape from everyday life that leads to an anachronistic, unknown world. The Las Nalcas estate, the bosses and their children, fishermen, bandits and old men who keep secrets until they die, rich and poor, huge contrasts and a countryside that keeps its mythology alive…

Six stories stemming from the great oral tradition of Chile are united in a strange legend that flows fluidly, without limitations, but with a unique meaning. A dreamy, unpredictable book, where the only certainty is death which, like the rain, will always come.
