The festive opening hours of commercial stores in Athens begin today, April 25, and the stores will be open on Sunday, April 28. The Athens Chamber of Commerce has announced the proposed opening hours of the commercial stores in Athens that will be valid for the Easter holiday season and on this occasion, the president of the association Stavros Kafounis said:

“After ELSTAT’s documented data for the Athens Chamber of Commerce index, which records a 3% drop in the fourth quarter of 2023 for small shops operating with haplographic books and after three difficult months at the beginning of 2024, I wish and hope that this festive period to mark the beginning of the increase in shopping traffic.

An increase that we expect and hope will be achieved not only in the areas that record a lot of tourist traffic, but also in the neighborhood markets which must be supported by the local community. The shops of the center and regional markets of Athens are waiting for consumers to do their Easter shopping, with full shelves and attractive prices. Happy Resurrection and Happy Easter to all the world”
