Today, Thursday, April 25, the festive opening hours for Easter in the shops begin, while on Sunday, April 28 the shops will be open.
The hours proposed by the Trade Associations are continuous, from 9 am to 9 pm for today and tomorrow and until 5 pm on Saturday, while for Sunday April 28 they suggest that small shops operate from 11 am. m until 4 pm.
What does the Business and Retail Association of Greece propose?
On his part, the Business and Retail Association of Greece proposes for Sunday, to its members, i.e. the large stores, department stores and chain stores to operate from 11 am to 8 pm.
Regarding Holy Week hoursall shops will operate continuously from 9 am to 9 pm from Holy Monday to Holy Thursday, while for Good Friday the small shops are recommended by the Trade Associations to operate from 1 pm to 7 pm while SELPE suggests to its members to be open from 1 pm to 9 pm.
For Holy Saturday, SELPE suggests operation of shops from 9 am to 9 pm, while the Trade Associations suggest opening hours from 9 am to 3 pm. On Easter Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the shops will be closed. On Tuesday they will be closed due to the postponement of the May Day celebration.
