Workshops of the Region of Central Macedonia will do green cutting work
Greenery cutting work is being carried out from today in the Regional workshops of the Region of Central Macedonia. As part of the work, there are traffic regulations, which make it difficult for vehicles to move smoothly.
In detail, in its announcement, the Region of Central Macedonia states:
Greening works on the Thessaloniki Ring Road will be carried out by the Directorate of Technical Works of the Region of Central Macedonia at the following points:
– Within the area of junctions A/K6 (Neapoleos), Agios Pavlos junction, A/K 7 (Eptapyrgio) and A/K K8-K9 (Triandrias-Toumbas), without any special occupation of road surface and on the side road network, on either side of road in both directions, in sections in the area of Papageorgiou and General Military Hospital (GNS) 424 Thessaloniki, as well as in the section from the height of GSN 424 Thessaloniki to the junction with the municipal street “Ag. Evgeniou Trebizontos” of the Municipal Unity of Polichni of the Municipality of Pavlos Mela, during the time period from Thursday, April 25 to Tuesday, April 30, 2024, excluding weekends, from 6:30 a.m. until sunset and depending on the prevailing weather conditions.
– To the right of the Thessaloniki Ring Road, partially in both directions, from the uneven junction with P.A.Th.E. (A/K16) to X.TH.8+500 (“SKLAVENITI” installation area, Nea Efkarpia), during the hours 10:00 – 14:00 in the direction to the east and from 14:00 until sunset in the westbound direction, during the time period from Thursday, April 25 to Tuesday, April 30, 2024, excluding weekends and depending on the prevailing weather conditions.
It is pointed out that the crews that will carry out the above works are mobile and that the blocking time of the above road sections for the execution of the works is relatively short.
The relevant consultation has already been made with the Thessaloniki Traffic Sub-Directorate so that there are the necessary traffic regulations for safer traffic during the works.
