The festive hours for Easter 2024, which will last until May 4, came into effect today, 25/04. Then there will be three days of closed shops (due to the May Day holiday being moved).
Before Holy Week, traditionally, shops and supermarkets will remain open on Sunday 28/04.
From today, therefore, the hours proposed by the trade associations is continuous from 9 am to 9 pm.
For Saturday, he suggests that the shops be open until 5 pm, while on Sunday, April 28 suggest that small shops operate from 11 am to 4 pm.
For its part, the Business and Retail Association of Greece proposes for Sunday, to its members, that is, in large stores, department stores and chain stores to operate from 11 in the morning until 8 in the evening.
As far as the opening hours of Holy Week are concerned, all shops will operate continuously from 9 am to 9 pm from Holy Monday to Holy Thursday, while for Good Friday small shops are recommended by trade associations to operate from 1 in the afternoon until 7 in the afternoon ewhereas SELPE suggests to its members to operate from 1 in the afternoon until 9 in the evening.
For Great Saturday, HELP proposes the operation of shops from 9 am to 9 pm, while the trade associations propose opening hours from 9 am to 3 pm.

Three days with closed shops
On Easter Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the shops will be closed. On Tuesday they will be closed due to the postponement of the May Day celebration.
