Lyggeridis murder: The protected witness with the code name “67E” and the dozens of attacks connected to each other

A protected witness codenamed “67E”. He is one of the three protected witnesses mentioned in the EL.AS transfer document who have officially testified under protection status to the police authorities.

Witness “67E” links more than 10 attacks by Olympiakos fans in recent years to specific persons, whom EL.AS characterizes as members of a “criminal organization” who either participated in incidents, gave orders for them to take place or directed other fans.

According to the transmission of EL.AS, “67E” has identified specific persons either from a video that EL.AS has at its disposal, or because “he was an eyewitness and a witness to the attacks”. The police made use of these statements and in combination with the video footage, they found the persons who have been arrested.

One of the incidents for which “67E” has testified is that of December 2021 in Menidi, Attica, when four Olympiakos fans who were riding in an IX car followed a delivery man who was wearing an AEK cap. The fans, according to the protected witness, immobilized the delivery boy and after stabbing him, they removed the cap he was wearing.

Another attack referred to by “67E” is that of December 2021, when Olympiacos fans attacked police officers outside the “Georgios Karaiskakis” stadium shortly before the start of the Olympiacos – Aris match. According to “67E” during the incidents, one of the arrested persons allegedly “took out a knife which he showed to the police and told them he was going to stab them”.

Another case of incidents that “67E” has mentioned is this one on December 5, 2022, the day when a basketball match was scheduled at the Stadium of Peace and Friendship (SEF) between the Olympiakos and Panathinaikos teams. Shortly before the start of the match, 100 Olympiakos fans “having covered their facial features with full-face hoods, holding Molotov cocktails and wooden poles, moved from the entrance of the parking lot CHEF. towards the underground passage that leads to the SKAI TV station and launched attacks against policemen”.

The police managed to push the Olympiakos fans towards the entrance of the stadium parking lot where, now reaching around 250, they continued the attacks by throwing the above objects at the squads.
