A short-lived group
Although the death notice was published (13/1) in the newspaper “Le Figaro”, fans only now realized that the Jean-Pierre Izbinskimember of Profil passed away at the beginning of the year… He is the third member of the group, which was created specifically for the competition and disbanded immediately after, to “pass away”. They made three recordings together, the participation in Eurovision, Hé, hé m’sieurs dameswith which they took 11th place, its English version Hey Music Man and the song Jour de Chance (inspired by a saying by Marc Twain). It is noteworthy that they won in a very difficult selection that included, among others Frida Boccarathe Marcel Amont (original performer of Tom Pillibi) and the Simone Langlois. None of them were very successful. The deceased is the middle one in the group photos.
Life after Eurovision
After a short solo career and after releasing three albums under his Izbinski moniker: Saltimbanque (1982), De mediums en voyantes (1984) and Si je t’aime, tu pars (1988), became a photographer and specialist in the visual arts. He was single.
