Car accident with many injured on the set of Eddie Murphy’s new film. “It was horrible,” say eyewitnesses
An accident has overshadowed the new movie “The Pickup” from Amazon MGM Studios, starring Eddie Murphy.
The Hollywood Reporter cited sources as saying that during the filming of a scene “unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned, resulting in several crew members being injured.”
On Tuesday, April 23, the Associated Press (AP) reported that it was a traffic accident that occurred when a truck “locked up” and hit another vehicle. An unnamed source cited by the AP said: “It was an absolutely horrible accident” and revealed that “the injuries ranged from bumps and bruises to broken bones».
The IATSE union (the North American labor union that represents most of the motion picture workers) said in a statement: “IATSE has become aware of an accident that took place on the Georgia set of “The Pickup” and has launched an investigation».
The upcoming film, whose plot has not yet been released, stars Eddie Murphy alongside Pete Davidson, Keke Palmer, Andrew Dice Clay, Eva Longoria, Jack Kesey and Marson Lynch.
