The time for Easter is now counting down, with the market “warming up” to welcome consumers and Greek households having timidly started their plans for the Easter table. As the veil of uncertainty continues to hover over the Greek economy, consumers remain extremely wary of the prices that will dominate the market, planning their upcoming purchases very carefully.

“We strive, with strict controls on the market and always in consultation with the entire supply chain, to be able to offer consumers products that will be at prices corresponding to or even lower than last year’s”stressed Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis from the Central Vegetable Market of Athens in Agios Ioannis Rentis, where he was on Monday.
“There is great availability and full sufficiency. Businesses are doing a lot of preparation so that at Easter there will be affordable products at all price levels, compared to last year as well as to European levels”said the CEO of the Central Markets and Fisheries Organization (OKAA), Apostolos Apostolakos.
