Nested out of the Paristhis majestic castle has hosted notable owners such as a member of the Rothschild family and a king of Morocco. Dated from 1100the property has evolved from a medieval fortress known as a castle Armainvilliers in a modern wonder spanning almost 2,500 acres.

It was originally built on Middle Agesthe castle suffered partial destruction during French Revolutionbefore undergoing a magnificent restoration in the mid-1800s. In 1877, it fell into the hands of Edmond de Rothschild, who transformed the estate into a sprawling masterpiece, extending the grounds from just 620 acres in over 9,700 acres of stunning beauty.

After Edmond’s tenure, the estate passed through generations of the Rothschild family, before catching the eye of the late Hassan II, King of Morocco, in the 1980s. Under his ownership, the estate flourished, boasting luxurious amenities and exquisite Moroccan touches design.

In 2008, the castle changed hands again, this time to an unknown owner from the Middle East, for the staggering sum of 200 million euros. However, despite its illustrious history and unparalleled luxury, the estate has remained largely unused, a silent witness to centuries of splendour.

Today, Chateau d’Armainvilliers stands as a testament to grandeur and sophistication, boasting no less than 100 rooms, three elevators and 17 luxurious bedroom suites. Moroccan-inspired design elements adorn the interiors, from elaborate ceiling patterns to decorative light fixtures, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance.
