Premiere today for the “Easter Basket” – What products does it include – PatrisNews

The “Easter Basket” comes into force from today, Wednesday (24/04), in supermarkets, which will last until Holy Saturday, May 4, 2024.

It should be noted that it will be in force until May 4, 2024 the “Godfather’s Basket”as well as the “Lent Basket”.

The “Easter Basket” is an extension of the “Household Basket”, as well four new food categories are addedso as to be an additional outlet for consumers.

The “Easter Basket” includes the following products:

• Lamb
• Kid
• Greek sweet bread
• Easter chocolate eggs and related products

In the “Godfather’s Basket” are included 12 product categories and consumers who are godparents or parents of small children are given the opportunity to make cheaper purchases during the Easter period.

“God’s Basket” includes:

• Easter candles – toys
• Board / Puzzle
• Doll toys, dollhouses and other accessories (imitation toys)
• Baby toys
• Action figures
• Construction and building games (eg brick games)
• Vehicles – Remote Controlled
• Electronic games
• Sports toys (eg balls, children’s basketballs and goals)
• A soft toy
• Musical toys
• Chocolate eggs and similar products (optional)

The Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekassaid about it: “We practically support households so that every family table is filled with the necessary goods at the lowest possible prices. Initiatives such as “Easter Basket” they also increase competition between food businesses for the benefit of consumers. With the “Basket of the Godfathers” we essentially help godparents and parents to buy quality toys at affordable prices to make all the kids happy these festive days. It is the primary concern of the government and the Ministry of Development the help and relief of all our fellow citizens, especially the most vulnerable“.

Festive hours start on Thursday, April 25 and shops will be open from 9am to 9pm, with the exception of Good Friday which will be open from 1pm to 7pm and Holy Saturday from 9am to 3pm .

On Sunday, April 28, the shops will operate normally.
