This year’s Easter looks more expensive than ever, a fact that has affected the consumption habits of citizens, as the margins in household budgets have dried up dramatically.
Prices on a range of goods are soaring, with the Easter table costing considerably more than last year.
According to the data and based on the prices as they are now, a table for 6 – 8 people, this year will cost:
- Lamb 10 kg × €14 per kg: €140
- Chicken 1.5 kg: €21
- Lettuce 2 × 0.70: €1.40
- Onions fresh 2 × 0.70: €1.40
- Dill: €0.60
- Tomatoes 1 kilo: €2.50
- Cucumbers 2 × 0.70: €1.40
- Tzatziki 1 kilo: €4.20
- Kitchen: €11
- Slice 500 g: €7
- Cheese gruyere 500 g: €8.95
- Bread 1 kilo: €2.40
- Eggs (20) home-dyed reds: €15.20
- Coals 20 kg: €30
- Pretzels at home: €16.10
- Greek sweet bread 1 kilo: €19
- Wine loose 1.5 liter: €6.75
- Beers 10: €22
- Soft drinks 6 x 0.330ml: €4.98

- Various contingencies (power, oil, vinegar, lemons): €18
Total this year €355.88 (from €334.50 in 2023). I mean +6% the +€21.38.
