A 23-year-old woman miraculously lives, who was the victim of a hit-and-run accident in Ilion, on Sunday night. “I lost consciousness and then when I woke up I saw the whole world on top of me. We called an ambulance and the traffic police, who came in a few seconds”, the girl describes, speaking to Mega, while mentioning that she feels some intense pain.
“He was saved by luck. He could have killed her, but she didn’t stop for a moment,” emphasizes her friend who was in front at the time.
What happened;
Shortly after 23:20, Sunday evening, the girl attempted to cross Thivon Avenue from a crosswalk. “I was walking and I felt someone touch me quickly and the world turned around me and I fell down.”
Halfway through the route, the traffic light turns green for cars. The black jeep crashed into the 23-year-old woman, threw her to the ground and continued on its way as if nothing had happened.
The driver didn’t even stop to see if he was alive or if he needed help. A few meters down, a delivery driver followed him, stopped him and called the police, who proceeded to arrest him.
The girl is in shock. He was taken to the hospital for first aid, while what he is asking for is the exemplary punishment of the 49-year-old driver.
Both the 23-year-old and the 49-year-old driver was subjected to a breathalyzer which came out negative.
