On Tuesday, April 23, the Associated Press (AP) reported that it was a traffic accident that occurred when a truck “locked up” and hit another vehicle. An unnamed source cited by the AP said: “It was an absolutely horrible accident” and revealed that “injuries ranged from bumps and bruises to broken bones».
The IATSE union (the North American labor union that represents most of the motion picture workers) said in a statement: “IATSE has become aware of an accident that took place on the Georgia set of “The Pickup” and has launched an investigation».
