The Prime Minister’s wife has been in Zakynthos since this morning Mareva Grabovski – Mitsotakis as part of a visit to the event of the Lyceum of Greek Girls this afternoon at 18.00 at the Zakynthos Theatre.

Ms. Mitsotaki accompanied by the MP Dion. Touch and the president of L. t E. Alexandra Maroudavisited the Post-Byzantine Museum, the Museum of Solomon and Epiphanes of Zakynthos and the Public Historical Library and is currently visiting villages of mountainous Zakynthos.

According to her report Sophia Vardakastani the event “Women’s time-travels in Zakynthos” of the Zakynthos branch of the L. t E. is a first acquaintance of the Lyceum of Greek women with Zakynthos society and aims to highlight the role of women and the Greek tradition.
In this context, there will be a welcome from the President, Ms. Alexandra Marouda and greetings from Ms. Mareva Mitsotakis, founder of Endeavor Greece, co-founder of Zeus & Dione and founder of Mstudio.
Afterwards, presentations will be made by the members of the Board of Directors of the Lyceum of Greek Girls. In particular, speeches will be made by the ladies Andriana Pomoni, Angeliki Kotsoni, Maria Sideri, Nicoletta Malafouri, Dionysia Giakoumelou, Maria Fiorentinou and Alexandra Marouda. The presentations will include a review of the presence of the Lyceum in Zakynthos, issues of gender equality and positions regarding the role of women in key areas of culture, such as dance, music and folk theatre.
The presentations will be accompanied by music and dance with the presentation of dances, such as the Syrtos Zakynthinos, the urban Polka dance and the Butcher’s dance, while at the end there will also be an awarding of honorary plaques to the guests.
Ms. Andriana Pomoni, Superintendent of the Historical Archives and Library of the Lyceum of the Hellenic Girls – Zakynthos Branch, reports about the Lyceum of the Hellenic Girls and the event that “thethe Greek Women’s High School was founded in 1911 by the pioneer of the feminist movement in Greece, Kalliroi Parren. From then until today, the Lyceum and its Branches in the province work to promote and protect women’s rights, always with respect to national traditions and the history of the place. Our first event was organized with the same rationale. All the main members of the Board of Directors and especially the President worked hard, while each of them undertook their own part so that issues related to women and the presence of the Lyceum in Zakynthos were covered».
