The Tesla they are synonymous with throttle, power and performance. And technology with gadgets is one of their characteristics, but through videos with Model S contests, the American company became famous. The new Model 3 intends to honor this tradition by getting a premium version Performance and 0-100 km/h that make supercars jealous.
Apparently we see in the photos, also for the first time the Model 3 acquires aerodynamic package. The 20 rims surrounded by tires Pirelli P Zero 4 width 235 mm. front and 275 mm. rear (optional 19-inch rims with a tread of 235mm front-265mm rear), having a splitter on the front bumper, a diffuser on the rear and a spoiler on the tailgate to improve both aerodynamic performance (-5% drag, -36% lift) , as well as appearance. The lowered one does the same suspensionwhich at the same time has active shock absorbers with three programs (Standard, Sport, Track), reinforced springs and upgraded anti-roll bars.
Model 3 Performance also features torque vectoring, in favor of optimal power distribution between the axles. At the same time, the power management sends greater amounts of torque back to give a rear-wheel drive “aura” to the dynamic characteristics of the flagship Model 3. Speaking of dynamism, we can’t help but focus on the obvious: endless throttle. The two electric motors they produce combinatorially 517 hp and 741 Nmforming together with the upgraded launch control the 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 min. – the first time a Model 3 has dropped from 3.0 seconds! The top speed reaches 262 km/h, while the 82 kWh battery ensures a range of 476 km. These in America.
In Europe, however, the numbers appear differently. Power is limited to 460 horsepowerwhich on the one hand negatively affects the acceleration (0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds), but on the other hand benefits the autonomy (528 km.). The average consumption is set at 16.7 kWh/100 km, while using the Tesla Supercharger (which charges up to 250 kW) you get a range of 228 km in just 15 minutes. The Model 3 Performance is already available in Greece, with a starting price of 55,990 euros.
