The well-known criminologist, Vassilis Kapernaros, who has undertaken the representation of the family of the deceased police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis, spoke on the ANT1 show, “Good Morning Greece” and initially expressed his satisfaction with the developments and the dozens of arrests, giving credit to the Police, but also to the Judicial Authorities.

The President of the Union of Police Officers of Attica, Dimosthenis Pakos, also spoke on the same show, stressing that the Police will stay by the family’s side and will continue to support them and “we will not let the case be closed or forgotten”.
“This is a fan army. It is not the first time that something similar to the one that led to George’s murder has happened. The Police are constantly attacked in the stadiums, but they always went to the dugout”, he then underlined.
