Lyggeridis murder: “The whole of Avlona is waiting for me” – He was laughing and knew that the policeman’s killer would go to prison

The juvenile killer who fired the naval flare against the policeman outside the Olympiakos volleyball court last December showed no sign of remorse after the serious injury that led to the death of Giorgos Lyggeridis.

In a telephone conversation that the juvenile murderer had with his brother, they refer to the conditions he is going to face in the detention center and apparently in the act of homicide and state the following:

“D”: (Laughs) Fuck it.

“N”: Okay, they won’t take me and even if they weren’t waiting for me, they know what I’ve done, so they wouldn’t take me…

“N”: Come on.

Gate 7: Criminal prosecution for 28 offences

A serious criminal prosecution for dozens of felonies and for numerous misdemeanors, a total of 28 offenses, was brought by the prosecution against the arrested, hooligans of Gate 7, for the case of the murderous attack against the MAT police officer in Rentis and other criminal acts.

Specifically, criminal prosecution was brought for the following charges:

• Homicide during a sporting event.
• Moral complicity in homicide during a sporting event.
• Assisting in homicide during a sporting event
• An explosion that also resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
• Moral responsibility in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event
• Contributing to the explosion resulting in the death of another during a sporting event.
• Manufacture of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
• Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials that may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event
• Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
• Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.
• Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.
• Arson from which a common danger to foreign objects may arise during a sporting event.
• Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
• Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.
• Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.
• Violence against another during a sporting event.
• Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm during a sporting event.
• Possession of flares and firecrackers during a sporting event.
• Possession of objects capable of causing bodily harm.
• Theft by complicity.
• Illegal gun possession.
• illegal carrying of weapons.

The case file that has been filed concerns approximately 160 people, of which 67 have been arrested.
