The 67 arrested remain in court, accused, among other things, of involvement in the bloody incidents in Rentis that resulted in the murder of the police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis. They are being led in groups before investigators, where they are asking for time to prepare their statements, which are expected to be completed by the end of the week.

It is noted that earlier, criminal charges were brought against those arrested for a total of 28 offences, with at least 12 of them being felonies related on the one hand to the case of the murderous attack against the MAT police officer in Rentis, on the other hand to other criminal acts.

According to a report by ANT1, among the offenses is that of the criminal organization, with 5 persons being brought as leaders, as well as the homicide of Giorgos Lyggeridis, and the actions related to the bloody incidents in Rentis.

A total of 5 investigators are called to “unravel” the tangle of investigations from the beginning. The 9th regular investigator is the one who is put in charge of organized crime, homicide and fan violence incidents, and will be assisted by 2 female investigators.

The case file includes 2 minors, who will be referred to the juvenile investigator, while the drug offenses, which are separated, will be handled by the respective investigator.

The role of the “small”

According to EL.AS., the so-called “little ones” played a decisive role in achieving the “goals” of the criminal organization, as ANT1 broadcasts.

These are people aged 16-24 who have joined organized fans relatively recently. The “big men” recruited them, put them on the field for free, and gave them tips when they sent them to buy food. In fact, they used them to have numerical superiority in attacks.

It is impressive, the great desire of the “small” to rise to the esteem of the “big”, and to win their respect, as a result of which they are very violent and willing to attack at any time and moment.

The 28 offences

Criminal prosecution for a total of 28 offences, with at least 12 of them felonies, was brought against those arrested for the case of the murderous attack against the MAT police officer in Rentis and other criminal acts.

The case file that has been filed concerns approximately 160 people, 67 of whom have been arrested. From them:

15 of the 160 are minors. Seven people of the criminal organization have also violated the drug law, for this reason the specific part will be separated. Another 7 people are involved in drug trafficking without being involved in the criminal organization (3 of them have been arrested).

“The c… – We killed a cop” – Chilling dialogues of hooligans after the attack

The conversations of those involved in the case, which are coming to light, are shocking. These are conversations recorded by the police authorities and allegedly took place after the incidents and the injury of Giorgos Lyggeridis, outside the Rentis stadium.

As reported by the TLive show on Alpha, the conversations seem to have “burned” the accused, while some of those involved are recorded bragging to their friends, with phrases such as “the c…”, “we are far ahead of the others” but also ” we killed cops, others can’t do such things.”

In another telephone conversation, which has been recorded, according to the television station, the following dialogue can be heard:

  • Friend of Defendant: And a straight shot huh? Bam.
  • Accused: Yes.
  • Friend of Defendant: And whoever gets the favor.
  • Accused: 10 people went there, they emptied everything. Here… they had 40 AK dynamite. It wasn’t just nautical, it was a lot that day. Do you know what it’s like to eat 40 dynamite?
  • Friend of Defendant: Did they go for death? They went to kill…
  • Accused: Yes m… they went to c… the MATs and there were few MATs.
