THE largest criminal prosecution ever broughtconcerns the case of the criminal organization, for the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis and was brought by the First Instance Prosecutor Mr. Sevis, who studied the file of 5,000 pagescompiled by the Organized Crime Branch.

Twenty-eight offences attributed to 160 people involvedthe 67 of which were arrestedwere taken to the courts of Evelpidon and after criminal proceedings were brought against them, they were referred to apologize to the interrogation, while they are currently detained.

All of the charges against the 160 involved are surrounded by the aggravating circumstances of the Sports Violence Act, which carries heavier penalties for those accused.

According to what emerges from the case file leadership role is attributed to eight of those involved, some of whom are among those arrested, while the rest are expected to be brought before the investigator.

The act of directing a criminal organization was attributed by the prosecutor to 8 specific persons, who are said to be the leaders of the criminal fan action.

On the other hand, other very serious acts, such as the murder of the policeman Lyggeridis, despite the fact that it has already been attributed from the beginning to the 18-year-old hooligan, who had confessed to throwing one of the flares and has been remanded in custody for his act, are also attributed to other defendants , without specifying to whom, since this determination will be attempted by the interrogation.

All those responsible are criminally prosecuted for other serious crimes, such as moral complicity in murder, explosion resulting in death and other crimes.

In these acts, the participation of each accused will be determined by the three investigators who will deal with the case.

Fourteen of the defendants are charged with acts of possession and trafficking of narcotics, but for seven of them, the case file, for reasons of economy of investigation, was divided and will be assigned to a narcotics investigator.

Among the 67 arrested are a minorwho will apologize to a juvenile investigator, while two more minors involved, who have not been arrested.

The father of one of the people involved was also arrested, who was referred to be tried at the Monomeles Autoforo, as a flare was found in his possession.

  • Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive devices.
  • Possession of explosives.
  • An explosion which may cause danger to life, on the occasion of a sporting event.
  • Blackmail by threatening to damage the business, in the context of a sporting event. The act concerns the shops around the Karaiskaki Stadium.
  • Conspiracy and serial robbery, in the context of a sporting event, which goes back to the rivalry of the teams.
  • Distinctive violence against employees, who were in serious danger.
  • Ignition from which a danger to foreign objects may arise, before the start of the match.
  • Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
  • Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.
  • Dangerous bodily harm during a sporting event.
  • Violence against another during a sporting event.
  • Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm.
  • Possession of flares, firecrackers, etc.
  • Possession and use of objects.
