Particularly voluminous are the case files that analyze the actions of those arrested who are allegedly involved in the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis as well as in other incidents of fan fights.
The 64 arrested were brought to court today, in order to be charged with both felony and misdemeanor charges.
The case file compiled included testimonies, videos and other findings that demonstrated the existence of a criminal organization behind the attack, while confirming the association of sports violence with organized crime.

According to the information that has come to light, an unknown person called the police and provided a video file that includes 15 digital videos showing the stadium’s horseshoe and the people who came out of the stadium and went to attack the police. In this way, the police officers identified who was inside the stadium but also who came out of it and participated in the attack against the police officer.
At the same time, the case file includes the name of the one who gave the signal for the attack as well as many conversations between the arrested.
Criminal Prosecution for 28 Offenses – Charges of Homicide and Organized Crime
The Athens District Attorney’s Office proceeded to bring criminal charges against those arrested for the murderous attack on police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis.
The criminal charges relate to twelve felonies and a number of misdemeanors that are now the responsibility of those arrested.

Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.

It is noted that the case file that has been filed concerns approximately 160 people. Of those arrested, one is a minor, while a total of 15 defendants under the age of 18 are estimated.
Also, five defendants for a criminal organization are also being prosecuted for violating the drug law, which is expected to be separated, while another seven defendants are involved in drug trafficking without being involved in the criminal organization, of which three have been arrested.
