Worship Week 2024 in Thessaloniki: Program of Events

The “Devotional Week” Cultural Institution returns to the cultural events of Thessaloniki, in April 2024, with a rich program which will begin with a Psalter Journey of the Immaculate Passions in the Holy Church of Agios Demetrius and will end on the Saturday of Lazarus, in the courtyard of Vlatadon Monastery in Ano Polis, with the musical performance Rodon to Amaranton about the Divine Passion and Resurrection.

The “Devotional Week” is part of the “Easter in Thessaloniki” tourism campaign with the aim of attracting visitors and highlighting the Byzantine wealth of Thessaloniki.

Byzantine dances, choirs of European music, soloists, soloists, recitations of theatrical analogies with well-known actors, musical ensembles, the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, but also gastronomy in the spirit of the days will form the program of the Worship Week 2024.

Narrative musical journey: Approaching the Divine Passion, Holy Church of Panagia Achieropoietou (Free Entry)

3rd U_th Festival 2024: Parallel Activities at the Festival of Adolescent Theater Groups of Thessaloniki

As part of the 3rd U_th Festival 2024, a set of parallel actions are taking place in Warehouse D at the Port of Thessaloniki with free entry for the public.

Experiential workshops, film screenings, masterclasses and Stand Up Comedy will frame the program alongside the theatrical performances staged at the Avlaia theater in the center of Thessaloniki for the 3rd Thessaloniki Youth Theater Group Festival.

The Performance “Kalamaria, a Refugee in the Heart” at the Royal Theater of Thessaloniki

The Dance Club of Thessaloniki presents the music and dance performance entitled “Kalamaria, in the Heart of the Refugee” at the Royal Theater of Thessaloniki.

Part of the proceeds will be allocated to the financial support of the Association of Northern Greece for people with congenital heart diseases “Children’s Hearts”.

The In-Edit Music Documentary Festival, returns with stories and music from around the world and celebrates 10 years of its organization with music documentaries, loved by the audience in previous years.

After each film, there is a musical tribute to well-known venues in Thessaloniki.

The Theatrical Performance “Letter to the Father” at the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki

The Theater Proposal Group presents for the 3rd year, the performance “Letter to the Father” in the special space of the German Institute of Thessaloniki – Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki.

The performance takes place within the framework of the artistic project, entitled “Kafka-Jahr / Year of Kafka”, in the historic building of the Goethe Institute. It is a series of theatrical events, starting on January 18, 2024.
