Nikos Karavanos from Rethymno also won gold in Panhellenic Wrestling

Rethymniotis made an impressive appearance sportsman Nikos Karavanos in the Panhellenic U20 Wrestling Championship, winning the gold medal! In his debut, last Monday, the young champion, in the city of Trikai, was sweeping with four wins, without losing a point and with a victory by fall over all opponents. The weight of the medal is important as Karavanos competed with the consent of the coach and guardian in the Panhellenic Youth U20, as he is still a Child U17. The wrestler from Rethymno won the 4th gold medal of the competition season in the Panhellenic Championships of the Hellenic Wrestling Federation and in the School Championship, since March when the competition program started.

In particular, he was: Gold Champion of Greece in the 2024 Panhellenic School Wrestling Championship, in the U17 Panhellenic Freestyle Wrestling Championship, in the U17 Panhellenic Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship and in the U20 Panhellenic Freestyle Wrestling Championship.
With this pan-Hellenic first, Nikos Karavanos will represent Greece in two European Championships and one World Championship. The first is the U15 European Championships in July in Serbia where he will represent Greece in Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling and then the U20 European Junior Championships next week again in Serbia.
The coach Emmanuel Karavanos and father of Nikos declares that he is satisfied and the plan of the Rethemnian wrestling coach for Nikos is the final goal of the World Championship in August in Amman, which is the top event in Olympic Wrestling in these ages by the World Wrestling Federation
