The Holy Provincial Synod of the Church of Crete met today and dealt with the issues on the agenda, such as the occurrence of fires, while it sent a message ahead of Easter.
The Holy Synod informed about today’s fires in Crete draws everyone’s attention to minimize the risk of loss of human life and destruction of the natural environment.
“Let the death on the cross and the Resurrection of Christ be not only the cause of the salvation of the human race but also the only antidote to any form of violence, criminality and other criminal actions of our times”, highlighted in the announcement.

The Holy Provincial Synod of the Church of Crete met today, April 23, 2024, in Heraklion in Session, and dealt with the issues on the agenda.
The Holy Synod was informed of the occurrence of today’s fires in Crete and draws everyone’s attention, especially for the upcoming summer, in order to minimize the risk of loss of human life and destruction of the natural environment.
On the occasion of the upcoming celebration of the Holy and Holy Week, of the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord, he wishes the faithful children of the Church of Crete, to pass the Holy Easter with spiritual cheerfulness.
