Those arrested for the Rentis incidents are accused of 28 crimes

Those arrested who are allegedly involved with the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis outside the “Melina Merkouris” stadium in Rentis but also with other fan incidents.

They were prosecuted, on a case-by-case basis, for a total of 28 offences, including at least 12 felonies and numerous misdemeanors.

Specifically, the prosecutor brought criminal prosecution for the following charges:

  • Address of a criminal organization (five people)
  • Formation and membership of a criminal organization
  • Homicide during a sporting event
  • Moral agency in homicide during a sporting event.
  • Aiding and abetting homicide during a sporting event
  • Explosion resulting in death another during a sporting event.
  • Moral authorship in the explosion which also resulted in the death of another during a sporting event
  • Contribute to the resulting explosion and the death of another during a sporting event.
  • Manufacture of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations on the occasion of a sporting event.
  • Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosives and incendiary materials from which a risk may be caused to a person on the occasion of a sporting event
  • Extortion by threat of damage to another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
  • Robbery by accomplice and serially with a sports background.
  • Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.
  • Arson from which a common hazard may arise for extraneous things during a sporting event.
  • Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
  • Deterioration of foreign property during a sporting event.
  • Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.
  • Violence against another during a sporting event.
  • Possession of objects capable of causing bodily harm during a sporting event
  • Possession of flares and firecrackers during a sporting event.
  • Possession of items which can cause bodily harm.
  • Theft by complicity
  • Illegal gun possession
  • illegal carrying of weapons
  • Follow-up weapon use
  • Illegal possession of firecrackers
  • Supply possession of drugs

The bulky one case file concerns about 160 people of which 67 are in the hands of the authorities.

Among the persons involved are 15 minors.

Fourteen defendants have also violated the law on narcotics and will report those charges to a narcotics investigator.

Finally, a father, after being arrested, is referred to be tried in the Autonomous Single-Member Misdemeanor Court.
