A woman has shared the shocking story of finding a banknote on the ground and then ending up in hospital on social media.
Renne Parsons from Kentucky, USA, described the moment she found the one dollar bill in a restaurant.
“…While I’m standing with my 3-month-old baby waiting for my husband to go to the bathroom, I see a dollar bill on the ground. I thought absolutely nothing of it and packed it up. Holding it in my hand I look around and think about giving it to the little girl I saw begging. Just then my husband comes out of the bathroom and I put the dollar in my pocket. Meanwhile, I did take the dollar out of my pocket, held it, and then put it in the car door. As I was doing this I told my husband how lucky I was to find a random dollar on the floor. I then grabbed a tissue to wipe my hands because my husband explained to me that I shouldn’t pick up money off the ground as the locals put it in fentanyl. As he explained my mistake, I felt like I was being hammered. Suddenly I felt a pain start in my shoulders and go through my whole body. I said, “Justin, please help me. I’m not kidding, I feel very strange.” I hold my partner’s hand and without thinking, and then my body went completely numb, I could hardly speak and could hardly breathe. He took me straight to the hospital.”
The hospital’s medical staff acted very quickly and Parsons thankfully felt back to normal soon after taking lots of medication. And he explained exactly what happened: “The officer who came to take our report told us that one of two things probably happened: either the note had been used to store drugs or it was intentionally left with drugs on it.”
He’ll think twice if he picks up a note from underneath again…
