Criminal prosecution for a series of felony and misdemeanor acts was brought by the Athens District Attorney’s Office against those arrested for the case of the murderous attack on the MAT police officer in Rentis and other criminal acts.

Based on the case-by-case criminal prosecution, the arrested face 12 felonies, while the total number of offenses reaches 28.

In particular, the public prosecutor, based on the evidence of the pre-investigation case file, initiated a criminal prosecution which, as the case may be, pertains to the following categories:

*Criminal organization address (eight people)

*Establishment and membership in a criminal organization.

*Manslaughter during a sporting event.

*Ethical complicity in homicide during a sporting event.

*Aiding and abetting homicide during a sporting event

*Explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.

*Ethical complicity in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event

*Participating in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.

*Manufacturing explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.

*Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials that may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event

*Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.

*Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.

*Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.

*Arson from which a common danger to foreign objects may arise during a sporting event.

*Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.

*Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.

*Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.

*Violence against another during a sporting event.

*Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm during a sporting event.

* Possession of flares and firecrackers during a sporting event.

*Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm.

*Theft by complicity.

*Illegal gun possession.

*illegal carrying of weapons.

*Weapon use by follow-up

*Illegal possession of firecrackers.

*Supply possession of drugs.

The file that has been filed concerns approximately 160 people, 67 of whom were arrested through the spontaneous procedure.

According to information, five of them are said to be accountable to justice for running a criminal organization. Among the 160 defendants there are 15 minors.

According to the same information, seven people from a criminal organization have also violated the drug law, but the case file will be separated in terms of this part. Another seven are involved in drug trafficking without being involved in crime – 3 of them have been arrested.

Five investigators will undertake the further investigation of the case with the 160 defendants. The 9th investigator with assistants on the 22nd and 17th, the 2nd juvenile investigator and the 4th narcotics investigator.
