Yesterday, at least 60 arrests were made, with the police operating in various areas of the basin and mainly in houses and cars of fans in western Athens.
The 68 arrested were taken to the courts of the former Evelpidon school in four buses and under draconian security measures. Among those arrested is the manager of a well-known trapper as well as the brother (16 years old) of the 18-year-old who threw the naval flare at the policeman.
It is expected that the public prosecutor, after studying the file that has been filed by the police authorities, will decide whether to proceed with criminal charges against them and for what crimes. The information speaks of a voluminous case file involving approximately 158 people, hence the case will be handled by at least two investigators. after the prosecutor who will impose the sentences, the accused will now be taken to the investigator to plead.
The case file compiled included testimonies, videos and other findings that demonstrated the existence of a criminal organization behind the attack, while confirming the association of sports violence with organized crime.
As it became known, more than 60 searches have been carried out in houses and 15 in vehicles and a number of persuasive items such as pistols, wooden bats, knives, drugs, clothing, digital media and others have been seized.
In addition to the case of the policeman who lost his life, those arrested are allegedly involved in other incidents of fan incidents, while in the next hours it is not excluded that other arrest warrants will be issued.
