Criminal prosecution for 28 offences, 12 of them felonies, was brought against those arrested for the murderous attack against the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis.

The case file concerns 160 people, 67 of whom have been arrested.

The criminal prosecution concerns the following charges:

  • Directorate of criminal organization (5 people)
  • Formation and membership of a criminal organization.
  • Homicide during a sporting event.
  • Moral complicity in homicide during a sporting event.
  • Assisting in homicide during a sporting event
  • An explosion that also resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
  • Moral responsibility in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event
  • Contributing to the explosion resulting in the death of another during a sporting event.
  • Manufacture of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
  • Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials that may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event
  • Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
  • Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.
  • Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.
  • Arson from which a common danger to foreign objects may arise during a sporting event.
  • Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
  • Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.
  • Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.
  • Violence against another during a sporting event.
  • Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm during a sporting event.
  • Possession of flares and firecrackers during a sporting event.
  • Possession of objects capable of causing bodily harm.
  • Theft by complicity.
  • Illegal gun possession.
  • Illegal carrying of firearms.

It is recalled that the company of EL.AS. started in the early hours of monday. So far, 67 people have been arrested and brought before the investigator and the prosecutor.

Of the more than 64 people who have been arrested, Attica security officials have identified many of them in 11-12 cases of fan violence. However, the “very tough core of hooligans”, the leading core, amounts to about 20 people.
