The indictment for the 67 is heavy

The 67 arrested for the murder of the 31-year-old police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis, were prosecuted for a total of 28 offences, including at least 12 felonies.

After they were brought before the public prosecutor, criminal proceedings were brought against them for the following charges:

• Contributing to the explosion resulting in the death of another during a sporting event.
• Manufacture of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
• Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials that may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event
• Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
• Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.
• Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.
• Arson from which a common danger to foreign objects may arise during a sporting event.
• Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
• Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.
• Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.

So far 67 have been arrested and one is a minor. For 7 persons who have a violation of the drug law, this part will be separated.

It is noted that the case file that has been filed concerns approximately 160 people. Of those arrested, one is a minor, while a total of 15 defendants under the age of 18 are estimated.

Also, five defendants for a criminal organization are also being prosecuted for violating the drug law, which is expected to be separated, while another seven defendants are involved in drug trafficking without being involved in the criminal organization, of which three have been arrested.
