Under draconian police measures, the General Police Directorate of Attica transferred the 67 arrested related to the case of the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis.

Those involved in several incidents of fan violence are expected to appear before the Prosecutor, in the courts of Evelpidon, in order to apologize for the heavy charges they face.

According to information, five of those arrested are accused of moral complicity in the murder of the 31-year-old police officer, for coordinating the attacks on Rentis and for participating in a criminal organization.

The file that has been created for the case is voluminous and it includes a total of 158 people, with the main leadership core consisting of about 20 of them.

A catalytic role in the identification of the accused was played by the videos, photographs and witness statements that had been collected after the murder of the policeman, while in the forensic laboratories various weapons that had been identified outside the “Melina Merkouri” stadium, as well as some burnt ones, “spoke” clothes that had been found in the toilets of the stadium.

The investigation by the Authorities concerns both the case of the death of the young policeman outside the stadium in Rentis and other incidents of fan incidents.
