ELGA pays 38.5 million today in the Peloponnese due to “Daniel”

Compensations amounting to €38.5 million were paid today, Tuesday 23the April 2024 at 12:00 p.m., according to YPAAT, to 6,412 beneficiaries in P.E. of the Peloponnese and some other regions of the country, which were affected by “Daniel” in the Peloponnese.

As pointed out in the ministry announcement: “the highest amount of compensation is paid to P.E. Corinthia, amounting to €33.7 milliondue to the heavy blow suffered by the vineyards from the extreme weather phenomenon “Daniel” last September.

As stated by the Ministry of Anti-Corruption, Lefteris Avgenakis, “the government is absolutely consistently implementing its commitments to the affected. The payment of the findings, thanks to the intensive efforts of the management and employees of ELGA, is carried out on time and in any case earlier than the commitment of the Government to have paid the compensations in their entirety, for each affected area, by 30the June 2024. We continue to be on the side of our farmers and intensify the effort to reconstruct the areas affected by the disasters”.
