Only one lane is left open and there is a big traffic jam – Where did the accident happen?
The traffic accidents that happen on the Ring Road of Thessaloniki seem to be consecutive, as a result of the rain that has made the road slippery and also limited visibility for drivers.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., a lorry traveling eastbound swerved and overturned, causing a very heavy traffic jam once again on the road. Specifically, according to the police, the accident occurred in the eastbound direction, shortly after the tunnel and before the exit for Pylaia and Panorama. It is noted that no other vehicle was involved in the accident and no injuries were reported.
Due to the diversion of the large vehicle, only one lane of traffic has been left open, resulting in traffic from the spot being made with great difficulty. As can be seen on the map, the traffic jam on Periferiakos reaches almost as far as 40 Eklesias.

It is recalled that since the morning there have been three more traffic accidents in the Peripheriakos, with one person slightly injured. In particular, two traffic accidents occurred at approximately 09:00 on the Ring Road of Thessaloniki, in Damaria of Efkarpia. In one case, a car veered off course, while a little later on the same part of the road there was a car crash between three vehicles. It is noted that no injuries were reported from either of the two accidents.
Earlier in the morning, shortly after 07:00, there had been a large car accident in the same place involving 3 vehicles, a military bus and a garbage truck. One person was slightly injured in the collision.
