“Today already” the memorandum for the Spartans, says SYRIZA, but the deadline has expired since April 20!

In yet another “demonstration” of amateurishness, SYRIZA announced, through the competent head of the Justice Department, Alexandros Avlonitis, the submission of a memorandum to the Supreme Court – as ND and PASOK have already done – to exclude the “Spartiates” party from the upcoming European elections. This time delay, in combination with the “present” chosen in February 2023 by SYRIZA (with Alexis Tsipras as president at the time) on the amendment of the Ministry of the Interior regarding the blockade of the Kasidiari party in the previous national elections, was not ignored by the government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, who spoke of “dformer defenders of Democracy, who otherwise fight for the Rule of Law, slandering Greece in Europe”

“Just yesterday we were wondering as a government why SYRIZA has not submitted a memorandum to the Supreme Court against the Spartans party. Today we got the answer.

A while ago, the member of parliament and head of the Justice Department of SYRIZA, Alexandros Avlonitis, speaking on a program on the Parliament channel, informed us that they decided (and indeed after a meeting with the head of SYRIZA’s KO Sokratis Famellos) to submit a memorandum “today itself” against the Spartans.

Today! While the deadline has expired since the 20th of the month…

It is not the first time that SYRIZA is absent from such a case concerning the quality of our democracy. Neither had they voted for our last legislative initiative in this direction, nor had they submitted a memorandum against the Kasidiaris party in the national elections of 2023.

The so-called defenders of Democracy, who fight for the Rule of Law, slandering Greece in Europe, remain steadfast only in big words and creating impressions. Like when for 4.5 years they couldn’t find a room to try the Golden Dawn criminal organization.

Speaking on the Parliament channel, the head of the Justice Department of SYRIZA, Alexandros Avlonitis, came out to… inform that a special meeting was held for the submission of the memorandum by the main opposition party!

“Yesterday [τη Δευτέρα] eI had a meeting as Head of Justice, together with my colleagues and with the participation of the president of the KO, Sokratis Famellos. We will file a statement today“, said Mr. Avlonitis, apparently ignoring – not only himself, but also the other officials of Koumoundourou – that the deadline that SYRIZA had at his disposal ended on the 20th of the month.

It was preceded by another caustic comment from the representative of the government, in the last update of the political editors, about the attitude of SYRIZA towards the Spartans, while the president of the party, Stefanos Kasselakis, continues his pre-election tour of the islands of the eastern Aegean by speedboat of Admiral Apostolakis:

“I don’t know why SYRIZA did not – once again – submit a memorandum for the Spartans.
