The 67 arrested related to the case of the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis were transferred by the General Police Directorate of Attica under draconian police measures.

Those arrested will appear before the Prosecutor, in the courts of the former Evelpidon school, in order to apologize for the heavy charges they face. Five are the moral perpetrators on whom the authorities are focusing for the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis, after the large police operation that started on Sunday evening.

According to the information, the five moral perpetrators were also recruiting they brainwashed 16 year olds and 20 year olds into doing their bidding.

It is about the 40-year-old “I.A”, a leading member of Thiras 7 who was spotted on Sunday afternoon in a coffee shop in Ioannina with a girlfriend. 5,000 euros and four mobile phones were found in his possession, while it is possible that he tried to escape to Albania. The second moral author is said to be 27 years old “trapper’s manager”. He had claimed to the police that on the day of the incidents in Rentis “I carried a banner and left”. However, the information states that after the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis had met with the 18-year-old who has been remanded in custody for throwing the naval flare.

Next is the 36-year-old man with the nickname “Romanos”, who on April 3 was one of the people involved in a fight outside “Karaiskakis”, with other Olympiakos fans, and the 31-year-old “Kokos”, in his possession in which one of the two weapons that have been identified in the investigations of the authorities was found.

Finally, the fifth moral perpetrator is allegedly the 31-year-old “Sark”, an organized fan in the association of Olympiakos of Western Attica. During his arrest, a police officer was attacked with a bat and went to 401, with him claiming he thought he was a thief.

“As is already known, in order to solve this murderous attack, from the first moment, more than 400 prosecutions had been made, so that no conviction was lost, while one person had been arrested and brought to justice. Subsequently, the case file compiled included testimony, video and other findings that demonstrated the existence of a criminal organization behind the attack, while confirming a link between sports violence and organized crime.

“In particular, evidence emerged of a criminal organization, consisting of 158 members, which, at least since 2019, committed felony and misdemeanor criminal acts and operated mainly in Attiki, Volos and Ioannina. In order to dismantle the criminal organization in question, from the early hours of this morning, as part of the ongoing preliminary investigation, a wide-ranging police operation was carried out, with the assistance of the EKAM. and police dogs, resulting in the arrest of 60 people so far”, it is noted afterwards.
