The murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis is again in the foreground, as the defendants face the charge of participation in a criminal organization. At the same time, according to the president of the Police Officers of Southeast Attica, Giorgos Kalliakmanis, immediately after the attack with the naval flare the perpetrators are heard on the phones saying “we succeeded, a policeman was killed, a policeman died”.

Specifically, Giorgos Kalliakmanis, speaking to ANT1, said about the dozens of arrests for the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis that “some evidence had to be analyzed, so that the involvement of some in more than one category could emerge. Many of them are marked. But now they have a problem, because the charge is for a criminal organization.”

As he said, “around 60 people were leaders and deputy leaders. And the terrible thing is that, after the murder, they can be heard saying: we have achieved our goal, we have a dead policeman.”

The president of the Police Officers of South-Eastern Attica believes that, “some people take advantage of these children to do other jobs. We see these kids with the aggression doing hookups and drug dealing.”

And when asked why these cases are not closed, he answered that, “maybe there was a phobia, in knowing that ‘we won’t get there’.” Businessmen support parties, businessmen have nothing to do with it, some actors take advantage of these children to do their jobs” and he concluded that, “we have to escape that we will reach persons who are high, we will not get there, it is some others who take advantage”.

George Kalliakmanis also spoke about his candidacy in the European elections, with the PASOK ballot.
