The crisis in the Middle East brought about an increase in the price of natural gas
A significant increase is recorded in the wholesale price electric power which today reaches 98.5 euros/MWh, continuing last week’s …rally. It is noteworthy that from April 15 to Sunday (April 21) the average market clearing price was 65.63 euros per MWh (megawatt hours), hitting a four-week high. In fact, the average price of the previous week appears increased by 33.26% fact that foreshadows a rise in May tariff prices.
The highest daily average price of the previous week was reached last Thursday (18 April) reaching €78.34 per MWh, with the maximum and minimum recorded in 131.50 euros per MWh and at 0.03 euros per MWh respectively. In the same period 15-21 April, electricity prices in Europe ranged from 4.9 euros per MWh to 95.1 euros per MWh, while yesterday the variation in electricity prices was between 1.9 euros / MWh and 111 euros / MWh.
