Five leading members – charged with the moral authorship of the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis, 20 executives, 40 members who occasionally took on special roles and more than 100 more young people carrying out orders, constitute the X-ray of the organization, which according to information similar to it has not existed.
The big operation of ELAS started in the early hours of Monday, and it is still not over as efforts are being made to dismantle the circuit. So far, 64 people have been arrested, who will appear before the investigator and the prosecutor today.

Of the more than 64 people who have been arrested, the experienced Attica security officers have identified many of them in 11-12 cases of fan violence. However, the “very tough core of hooligans”, the leading core, amounts to about 20 people.
Key the “leader”
Police began to analyze the profile of a 40-year-old man, who was reported to be “in command” of a violent group of fans. The police found him about 24 hours ago in Ioannina. From monitoring him, they knew that he was not in Athens and had taken care to take their measures, as there was a fear that he might leave the country.
When the police stopped him, they found more than 5,000 euros. It is believed that he had already learned that the cordon around him had begun to tighten some time ago and that he might be attempting to disappear with cash on him.
Key players, according to information, are a 40-year-old who is said to be the head of a certain organized group of fans, a 27-year-old who is said to also have a role as a “storekeeper”, a 31-year-old described as “the tough guy in the stands”, a peer who was previously mapped as a person with connections to Golden Dawn and a 36-year-old who had recently engaged the Police after a fight that had taken place outside the Karaiskaki stadium in Neo Faliro.
The members of this criminal organization acted with a different composition each time. According to a report by ERT, the police officers dealing with violence in the sports arenas have succeeded in the secret investigation for four months to “bind” the charge of the criminal organization, through important findings mainly from the scene of the murder of the MAT police officer.
Valuable information about their action was allegedly provided by a video-document taken by a fan in the stands, as well as by high-definition photographs, while the forensic laboratories were “spoken” by ordnance that had been found outside the stadium in Rentis and from the toilets of the stadium, where the perpetrators had set fire to clothes in order to disappear their traces.

Typical case, as reported by a competent source of EL.AS. with knowledge of the investigations, it is the gathering that some of the members had held at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium, before the match at the Melina Merkouris stadium and the murderous attack against Giorgos Lyggeridis. There, they loaded munitions into vehicles and took them “in procession” to Melina Merkouri Stadium, entering it normally.
The alleged leaders at one point gave the signal saying “let’s go out now and finish them off, clean them up”. Then they distributed the munitions such as bottles, flares and others, resulting in the killing of the policeman.
The arrested are expected to be brought before the prosecutor tomorrow, Tuesday.
