The all-new Opel Grandland has arrived, marking a bold upgrade from the previous generation. It renounces the diesel engines and internally it is positioned above the Frontera.
Compared to the outgoing model, the new Opel Grandland is larger. It is an additional 173 mm in length, 19 mm in height and 64 mm wider. Overall, its length is 4,650 mm, width 1,905 mm and 1,660 mm, with wheelbase 2,784 mm.

As a result, the luggage space increases by 36 lt and rear seat passengers have an extra 20 mm for their knees compared to the outgoing generation. Which was by no means cramped.

Based on Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, just like the Peugeot 3008the Opel Grandland will be offered as pure electric with a choice between a 73 kWh or 98 kWh battery.
Using a 400V system, it will be able to charge at a speed of up to 160 kW, achieving an impressive range of 700 km. Although not yet confirmed, we expect a base front-wheel drive version and a more powerful 4-wheel drive with two electric motors.

For fans of thermal sets, it will be offered with the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder and 48-volt mild hybrid system, while a rechargeable hybrid version will follow later, with 80 km of electric range.
Opel says it plans to be an all-EV brand by 2028, but it remains to be seen whether it will stick to its plan or readjust its strategy. For now, the hybrid embrace and displacement of diesel is a first victory for electrification devotees.

The cabin is full of upgrades, including an expansive 16-inch infotainment screen, a heads-up display and seats that upgrade the entire driving experience. They have electric side supports, ventilation and even a massage function.
