Gasoline: Increases that “burn” – The differences in prices

An upward rally is taking place in fuel prices, with gasoline “soaring” to the heights, breaking records daily and worrying consumers.

In the center of Athens today, gas stations sell simple unleaded at the price of… islands, up to 2.40 euros per liter.

Prices are soaring despite the fact that crisis and conflagration in the Middle East have been avoided. According to the president of Benzinopolon Attica, Maria Zaga, who spoke to SKAI “as long as the tariffs go up, the prices in the shops (gas stations) will also go up.” From last Friday until today, we have the same invoice hence the high prices. We’re expecting a new invoice tomorrow – we’ll see. Prices may drop tomorrow.”

Ms. Zaga emphasized that there should be a check on the gas stations in Athens that sell at such high prices, as there is a ceiling on the profit.
