According to the prognostic data of meteo.gr/National Observatory of Athens, today, in addition to the greatly increased concentrations of dust that will limit visibility, mud showers are also expected to occur, mainly in the north and west of the country. On Wednesday, the turn of the winds to the west will result in the limitation of dust in the Dodecanese and its progressive removal to the east.

In particular, according to the EMY tomorrow, clouds with local rains, sporadic storms and increased concentrations of African dust are expected. The winds will blow from eastern directions 5 to 7 and in the Aegean locally 8 to 9 Beaufort. From the afternoon gradually to the west they will turn to northwesterly 4 to 6 Beaufort. The temperature will rise to its maximum values ​​in southern Greece and to its minimum values ​​in the north. It will reach 19 degrees in the north, 24 to 27 in the rest of the country and 29 degrees Celsius locally due to the southerly winds in northern Crete.

THESSALONIKI: Cloudy with local rain and sporadic storms. The phenomena from late afternoon will weaken and in the evening they will stop. The winds will blow
from eastern directions with an intensity of 4 to 6 Beaufort and from the evening there will be northwest winds of 3 to 4 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius.

THESSALY: Cloudy with local rain and sporadic storms. The phenomena after noon will weaken and in the evening they will stop. Winds will blow from easterly directions 4 to 6 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 14 to 21 degrees Celsius.

MACEDONIA, THRACE: Increased clouds with rain and sporadic thunderstorms. The phenomena from late afternoon will weaken and at night will continue only in western Macedonia, while in the rest of the regions they will stop. Winds will blow from easterly directions 4 to 6 Beaufort. In the evening they will weaken and in the west they will turn to northwesterly 3 to 4 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia 4 to 5 degrees lower.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS: Clouds with local rains and sporadic storms in western Sterea, Epirus and the northern Ionian. The phenomena after noon will gradually weaken and in the evening will be limited to Epirus. Winds will be east southeast 4 to 6 and locally south 6 to 8 Beaufort. From the afternoon in the north and from the evening and in the south they will turn to northwesterly 4 to 6 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 16 to 24 and in the south to 27 degrees Celsius and in the interior of Epirus from 08 to 15 degrees Celsius.

EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS: Cloudy with local rain and sporadic storms. The phenomena after noon will weaken and quickly stop. The winds will blow east southeast 6 to 7 Beaufort and in Evia locally 8 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 14 to 23 and in the south up to 25 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE: Clouds are expected and clear from the afternoon. The winds will blow southeast 7 to 8 and in the Cyclades 8 to 9 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 18 to 24 and in northern Crete up to 29 degrees Celsius.

EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE: Clouds with local rain are expected in the islands of the Eastern Aegean. The winds will blow southeast 7 to 9 Beaufort and the temperature will range from 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.

In the west and north continental clouds with a few local rains and improvement from midday. From late at night in the west, an increase in clouds is expected again with the occurrence of local rains in the Ionian. In the rest of the country, sparse clouds. Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust, which will quickly be confined to the east. Winds in the Ionian and continental will blow from west northwest directions 4 to 6 Beaufort. In the rest of the areas, winds will blow from south directions 5 to 7 and locally 8 Beaufort with weakening from the afternoon.
The temperature will drop slightly in the west. It will reach 19 to 21 in the west, 22 to 24 in the north, 24 to 26 in the center and 20 to 22 in the island country and locally in northern Crete 28 degrees Celsius.

Drop in temperature on Thursday

Initially in the west and later and in the northern continental areas, increased cloudiness with local rains and isolated storms is predicted. The phenomena will show a recession from the afternoon hours. In the rest of the country, local clouds at intervals until the afternoon hours. The winds will blow from west directions 3 to 5 and on the seas, mainly in the south, locally 6 Beaufort. The temperature will fall.

Rising temperature from Friday

Generally clear weather and only in the midday-afternoon hours in the west and north will clouds develop and there will be local rain or temporary rain.
Winds will blow from west northwest directions 3 to 5 and locally to the south 6 Beaufort. The temperature will rise slightly.

On Saturday almost clear weather is expected. During the warm hours of the day, temporarily increased clouds with local rains or showers are predicted in the western and northern mountains.
Winds will blow from north directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean 5 to 6 and locally 7 Beaufort. The temperature will rise slightly further.
