Worship Week 2024 in Thessaloniki: Program of Events

The “Devotional Week” Cultural Institution returns to the cultural events of Thessaloniki, in April 2024, with a rich program which will begin with a Psalter Journey of the Immaculate Passions in the Holy Church of Agios Demetrius and will end on the Saturday of Lazarus, in the courtyard of Vlatadon Monastery in Ano Polis, with the musical performance Rodon to Amaranton about the Divine Passion and Resurrection.

The “Devotional Week” is part of the “Easter in Thessaloniki” tourism campaign with the aim of attracting visitors and highlighting the Byzantine wealth of Thessaloniki.

Byzantine dances, choirs of European music, soloists, soloists, recitations of theatrical analogies with well-known actors, musical ensembles, the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, but also gastronomy in the spirit of the days will form the program of the Worship Week 2024.

“Robbery in Athens” and “Avanos” at Cine Vakoura

On Monday, April 22 at 21:00 at Cine Vakouras, Cinephile Mondays will make a “stop” at Greek film noir with a collectible double bill. The multi-award winning contemporary short film “Avanos” by Panagiotis Haramis and the legendary 1969 film “Robbery in Athens” by Vangelis Serdaris, who passed away last December.

The Theatrical Performance “Letter to the Father” at the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki
