New evidence is coming to light about the leadership group that organized and executed the plan that led to the fatal wounding with a naval flare of 31-year-old police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis, on December 7, 2023, outside the closed gymnasium of Rentis, where a volleyball match was taking place.

It is noted that among them they also had nicknames. In the world of hooligans, they were known by the names “Omle”, “Short”, “Romanos”, “Koko”. They were the ones who had decided that they would do the episodes in Rentis and had informed the others about their plans.
Some of those arrested admitted that what they wanted to achieve in Rentis were incidents with police officers.
They transported the munitions from Piraeus
According to the report, some of them described the organization that existed before the incidents. They said that they started from Piraeus where they put the munitions of war in the cars and that they started a procession passing through Kifissos. When they arrived at Rentis they parked their vehicles in the parking lot and entered the stadium.
Among those arrested is the person who gave the signal for when they should leave the stadium and carry out the attack on the MAT squad. The pre-agreed slogan was “let’s clean them up”.

At the same time, among those arrested there is also a person who belongs to the leadership group and during his arrest more than 5,000 euros were found with the police stating that this amount can only be justified as money he had collected to leave Greece, as he had been informed that the Police investigations are at the final stage to locate him.
