The parents of the one-year-old baby who died in Kos from suffocation due to food were given a deadline of Wednesday to apologize.
The parents of the infant were taken to the Prosecutor’s Office of Kos in the morning and after the deadline they received, they continue to be detained. The 20-year-old father of the infant has been arrested several times in the past, accused of grand theft, robbery, rape, child pornography and drugs.
According to the first assessment of the medical examiner who examined the infant’s body in Rhodes, no sexual abuse was found on the one-year-old girl, while according to the death certificate, the child died at 20:45 on the evening of Saturday, April 20, from suffocation – drowning obstruction due to obstruction of the lower airways by wheat.
Regarding the information about abrasions and bruises on the infant, according to information, the abrasions were on the neck while there were bruises on various parts of the body. According to witnesses, the child had bruises before, with the parents justifying it as an accident. In addition to the autopsy, a toxicological examination has also been ordered for the infant’s body, while items collected by the police from the house will be sent to the relevant laboratories of the Criminal Investigation Department.
At the time of the child’s death, the father was absent from the apartment.
