The large operation of the Police started on Sunday afternoon from the city of Ioannina. According to information from ERTNews, one of the moral perpetrators of the murderous attack against the young policeman tried to escape abroad. According to the same information, he was spotted in the city of Ioannina by police officers of the Sports Violence Department, riding in a car and moving towards the border.

Afterwards, investigations were carried out in Attica as well as in other regions of Greece. So far, 56 arrests have been made, among which are the five moral perpetrators and two leading members, that is, those who gave the trigger for the attack against the MAT squads.
