Fan violence: From Filopoulos to Volos
In addition to the names of approximately 200 high-risk hooligans, as they are characterized, the list also lists 30 cases in which they were involved. Among these cases are the following:

– Attack on OPKE police officers on the sidelines of the Olympiakos-Panathinaikos basketball match.
– Attack on a female PAO hooligan in Ilion.
– Clashes of fans in Malakasa in SEA.
– A 47-year-old PAO supporter shoots and seriously injures a 32-year-old expatriate from Georgia on September 9, 2021, outside the Health Center on Alexandras Avenue. The perpetrator was accused of extortion as a member of an extortion group led by a 51-year-old, known by the nickname “Thamnakias”, “Big” or “Crazy”, who had previously been accused of assaulting referee Kyros Vasaras. The 47-year-old also shot a fan of the team he supports inside the stadium in 2018.

Incidents of hooligan support banners for those arrested for the murder of Alkis Kampanos are recorded. The relevant list records incidents of threats and attacks against referees and journalists over a decade. Among them are the threats received by the referee Tasos Papapetrou, who was the referee in the Olympiacos Volos-Olympiakos match, and the incendiary device in the shop of the referee Andreas Gamaris last November.
ATTACK ON RENTIS
40 suspected of criminal organization
And in the case of Rentis with the serious injury of the 31-year-old police officer, the officers of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues have 40 people as suspects, for whom they are looking for evidence that will establish the charge of the criminal organization. There is a structure with leaders, deputy leaders, instigators and strike teams. Some of them are flagged for incidents of sports violence as well as other more serious criminal offences.
What happened in the closed gym “Melina Merkouri”, according to competent officers, was planned “retaliation” for what had recently developed in Volos with the police forces. Among the 424 brought in are people who had recently starred in the episodes in Volos.
